Natasha Hayakawa

Qualified equine bodyworker and nutritionist

Based on the NSW Central Coast and servicing the Central Coast and Hunter regions, I’m Natasha Hayakawa, founder of Equine Hands.

As an advocate for equine wellness and welfare, my focus is on supporting horses through bodywork and nutrition consultations that promote good health, comfort, ease of movement and long-term wellbeing.

My approach combines hands-on soft tissue and myofascial therapy, functional movement assessment and detailed nutrition evaluation to support soundness, performance, recovery and overall health in horses of all ages, breeds, and disciplines.

I’m a qualified Equine Bodyworker (Equinology – EEBW) and Equine Nutritionist (B.Eq.Sc), fully insured and a member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT).

My Bachelor of Equine Science at Charles Sturt University (NSW) included studies in nutrition (focusing on mycotoxins, laminitis management, gut health), pasture evaluation, anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, rehabilitation, welfare and behaviour, to name a few, aligning my practice with the Five Domains Model of equine welfare.

I continue to build on this foundation through ongoing professional development, including:

  • Kinesio-taping (Vetkin)

  • Sharon May-Davis Equine Anatomy Clinic (2022)

I’m passionate about listening to each horse and applying science-backed experience to achieve the best possible outcomes — helping every horse move, feel and perform better. 💜
