For owners who want to ensure their horse is supported inside and out.
This combined session offers a balanced look at your horse’s physical comfort and their nutritional foundations. It brings together a full Equinology®‑based bodywork session with a concise, forage‑focused nutrition snapshot to support your horse’s overall wellbeing.
This option sits alongside my standalone bodywork sessions and provides an opportunity for owners who would like to explore whether their horse’s current nutrition is broadly meeting their needs, or may be influencing health, comfort or performance.
What’s Included
🐴 Equine Bodywork Session
Your horse receives a complete bodywork session grounded in Equinology® (EEBW) principles and evidence‑based practice.
My approach may include:
Hands‑on soft‑tissue techniques
Myofascial release
Mobilisation and stretching
Trigger point work
Photobiomodulation (redlight and near infrared light)
Kinesiotaping
Initial functional movement assessment
Each session begins with a static and dynamic assessment (when the horse is able), allowing me to understand posture, movement patterns and areas of compensation.
Bodywork may assist with:
Releasing tension and muscle tightness
Improving flexibility and range of motion
Enhancing recovery and circulation
Encouraging relaxation and soft‑tissue balance
Promoting optimal movement, comfort and behaviour
Whether your horse is in regular work, spelling, young, ageing or retired, bodywork can help restore and maintain long‑term soundness and wellbeing.
🌱 Nutrition Snapshot Assessment
The nutrition snapshot is a brief, high‑level review of your horse’s current feeding approach, focusing on the key fundamentals that influence everyday health and comfort.
This may include:
Forage first: type, quality, access and suitability
Pasture considerations: non-structural carbohydrates (NSCs), seasonal variation and potential risks such as nitrates or mycotoxins
General ration structure: energy, protein, fibre balance
Supplement overview: identifying gaps or unnecessary overlap (without full ration balancing)
Basic metabolic or weight‑related observations
Gut health considerations, including gastric ulcers and hindgut health
Off-the-track (OTT) management
This snapshot does not replace a full diet analysis. Its purpose is to provide clarity around whether feeding is broadly aligned with your horse’s needs, environment and workload – or whether a further, more detailed review may be beneficial.
Why Combine Bodywork and Nutrition?
Bodywork and nutrition both play an important role in a horse’s comfort, resilience and overall wellbeing. Looking at both within the same session allows for a more complete, whole-horse perspective.
This session is suited to owners who value thoughtful, individualised care and want reassurance that their horse is being supported appropriately – inside and out.
Option to Upgrade to a Full Nutrition Consultation
If the snapshot suggests a deeper assessment would be helpful, you may choose to upgrade to a full nutrition consultation for $110 (normally $170).
A full consult includes
Detailed diet analysis
A customised feeding plan
NRC‑based nutrient balancing
Supplement review
Consideration of metabolic, gut health and workload factors
Follow‑up support during implementation
There is no expectation to upgrade - this option is simply available if you feel it would be beneficial.
